Description
The Toy Shop is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from ironstone ashlar with lighter stone dressings and features a plain tile roof with coped gables and a brick stack at the east end. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a double-fronted design and three windows across the front.
The central entrance is framed by a fine moulded architrave, which includes a double keystone and a fanlight with glazing bars. The door is from the 20th century, and there are 20th-century shop windows on either side of the entrance. On the first floor, there are 6/6 sash windows set in raised and moulded architraves, each with cambered heads and double keystones. The attic features three hipped dormers, each with two lights.
