Description
Nelsons is a house that includes a shop, dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a Welsh slate roof, with brick stacks at the ridge and east end. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a total of five windows across its façade.
On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century shop front and a door to the left, while to the right is a 19th-century slightly bowed shop front and door, both sheltered by a hood. The first floor has two types of sash windows: one 4/4 and two 6/6, all with thick glazing bars set in raised architraves that have segmental heads and keystones. A rainwater pipe with a round, fluted hopper head is present, along with a cornice and a parapet adorned with small fluted pilasters. The roof features three 19th-century gabled dormers, each with two lights and decorative bargeboards.
