Description
Spencers is a house that also incorporates a shop, dating from the 18th century, with possible earlier origins. It is built of ashlar stone and features a Welsh slate roof with brick stacks at the ends. The building stands three storeys high with an attic and has three windows across its façade. There are raised bands between the storeys, a coved cornice, and quoins at the corners. The ground floor includes an early 20th-century shop front and a carriageway to the right. The first and second floors are fitted with 6/6 sash windows that have raised architraves and keystones. At the top, there are two gabled dormers with two lights each. At the rear, there is a wing made of squared stone with a chamfered angle, which features an 18th-century datestone and an ovolo-moulded croisé window.
