Description

The building comprises two houses, including shops, dating from the late 18th century. Constructed of ashlar, it has a plain tile roof with a coped centre and east gable, along with stone ridge and east end stacks. The building is two storeys and attics, with a four-window range for each house. Quoins are present. A bracketed cornice and parapet tops the facade. Number 23 features a central cambered-headed carriage entrance with a double keystone, now containing a 20th-century shop front. It is flanked by round-headed doorways (now windows) within eared architraves, each with a double keystone. Number 25 has a similar round-headed entrance to the right, containing a panelled door and a fanlight with glazing bars, and a late 19th-century shop window to the left. The first floor of both houses features 6/6 sash windows in raised architraves, with keystones of varying designs. Each house contains two pedimented dormers.
