Description

Old World Cottage is a house dated 1711, as indicated by the stone on the left-hand gable, but it appears to have been built in two different phases. The structure is made of coursed rubble with angle quoins and large stepped stones in the gable, topped with a thatched roof. It has two storeys. At the front left, there is an outshut, and beyond this, a three-light wood casement window is situated, with a two-light window above it. This arrangement marks the limit of the original house, which is separated by a straight joint with angle quoins from an additional bay that features casement windows. The house has both axial and gable end stacks.
