Description

Hambleton Manor House is a large house, likely built in the early 17th century, with additions from the 18th and late 19th centuries. The original 17th-century section features coursed rubble with angle quoins and a stone tiled roof. It has two storeys with an attic and consists of two bays. On the left side, there is a three-storey ashlar canted bay window, which includes mullions and hoodmoulds, and is supported by a corbelled-out projecting gable above. To the right of this bay window is a projecting porch from the 19th century, inspired by the loggia of Hambleton Old Hall, complete with balustrading and arcading. Above the porch, there is a three-light stone mullioned window. The house has moulded stone stacks and an additional mullioned window in the gable end.

To the right, there is a late 19th-century addition designed in an old English style, which blends well with the gable and features a two-storey bow window, rubble on the ground floor, and stucco above. This section also has a projecting stack and another gable facing the street, with various mullioned and leaded lights. At the rear, there is a projecting 18th-century wing made of ashlar with a stone tiled roof, featuring axial and gable end stacks. The first floor has three 12-light sash windows, while the ground floor includes a modern extension and three 16-light sashes.
