Description

Mary's Cottage is a Grade II listed cottage, originally two dwellings, with its earliest part dating back to the late 16th century. The building is constructed of rubble with angle quoins and features a coped gable on the left side. It has a thatched roof. The gable includes a three-light stone mullioned window with a hoodmould. The main elevation has a 16th-century cell on the left with a three-light mullioned window, followed by a newly rebuilt section that contains a three-light wood mullioned casement window, a doorway, and another casement window. Beyond this is a section likely from the 18th century, which has two casement windows—one of which was formerly a door—and a single dormer.
