Description
Rose Cottage is a cottage that was formerly two dwellings, likely built in the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed of coursed rubble with quoins at the angles and openings, and it has a thatched roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and features an elevation divided into three sections, each slightly recessed.
On the left, there is a single bay that includes a three-light wood mullioned window with a dormer above it. To the right of this bay, there is a recessed section that contains a three-light casement window and a door, both with a dormer above. Further to the right, there is another recessed section with a door and a casement window, both featuring brick segmental arched heads and a dormer above. The remaining openings have flat timber lintels that are chamfered. The cottage has a gable end stack and the remains of an axial stack located between the two right-hand units.
