Description
Ivy Cottage is a house dated 1690, as indicated by the date stone. The building features a stone structure with a brick front wing and a thatched roof. On the left side, there is a small bay made of brick with a slate roof. The front has a 2-light single-chamfered-mullioned window, where the mullion has been removed and a casement inserted, along with a horizontally sliding sash window that has glazing bars and an eyebrow dormer above it. The wing has two horizontally sliding sash windows. The right side of the house has a lateral stack and a blocked entrance, as well as a 3-light single-chamfered-mullioned window with an inserted sliding sash, along with two raking buttresses and the date stone. The rear of the house features sliding sash windows and there is a 20th-century porch at the angle. A gable-end stack is also present.
