Description
Poplar Farmhouse is a house dated 1714, as indicated by the date stone. It is constructed of brick with a stone base and quoins, topped with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. There are two string courses made of two bricks, with one brick above the windows. The windows have gauged-brick cambered arches and 20th-century casements. The entrance has a segmental head. There is a cross-axial stack. The left side of the house has a lean-to porch with a date stone reading "P D M 1731". The right side has a one-storey, one-bay extension with a date stone on the rear that reads "D P / 1726".
