Description
Diamond Farmhouse and the attached barn date from 1728, as indicated by the datestone. The farmhouse is built of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. It is two storeys high and has two bays. The structure features a stone base, a band over the ground floor, and a top band, with quoins at the corners. The windows have gauged-brick cambered arches and are sashed with glazing bars. The entrance has a segmental head and there are gable-end stacks.
The attached barn has three bays and includes a blocked entrance with an inserted window and splayed cheeks. The first bay also has a blocked entrance with a gauged-brick cambered arch. The gable-end of the barn features ventilation slots and pitching eyes. The rear of the barn has a stone base and an entrance with a segmental head, along with king post trusses.
