Description
Pear Tree Cottage is a house dated 1699, constructed from stone with a slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features two bays, along with a two-bay rear wing. The front has four-light single chamfered-mullioned windows, which have been extended at some point. The entrance is marked by a large lintel and a 20th-century door with a canopy. The left side facing the street has single chamfered lights, and the gable end is coped with kneelers. The rear wing contains small-paned casements and there is a gable-end stack. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is reported to have reused timbers, possibly from a timber-framed building.
