Description

Numbers 54, 56, and 56A on Bromborough Village Road are two shops with a flat above, dated 1685 according to a stone inscription. The building features a roughcast exterior, likely on stone, with a concrete tile roof and tile at the ends. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and has four bays. There is a band above the first and second bays on the first floor. The ground floor has 20th-century shop fronts, while the first floor includes a sashed window with glazing bars. The second floor features gabled dormers with kneelers and three-light double-chamfered-mullioned windows with small-paned glazing. The left side of the building has a coped gable with kneelers, a sashed window on the first floor, and two mullioned windows with two lights on the second floor. The rear includes an outshut and a wing.
