Description
No. 15 Wool Market is a house and shop, likely dating from the mid-19th century but with earlier origins and 20th-century alterations. It features painted brick in English garden wall bond and a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and two first-floor windows.
The elevation facing Bridge Street showcases a mid to late 19th-century shop front on the ground floor, complete with pilasters. On the first floor, there are sash windows with glazing bars, projecting stone sills, and flat arches. The roof is hipped to the left and uneven. At the right end, there is a brick cogged stack.
The left side of the building, which faces Wool Market, is rendered and includes a ground-floor shop front that matches the one on Bridge Street, along with a 20th-century six-panel door. The first floor has two sash windows with glazing bars and projecting sills, as well as one fixed-light four-pane window. This building is included for its group value.
