Description

Nos 2 and 4 Gillygate is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the late 17th century or early 19th century and features a rendered exterior with a Welsh slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and has three bays. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front that is not of special interest. On the first floor, there is a sill band and 20th-century casement windows. The second floor features 9-pane unequally-hung sash windows. There is ashlar coping on the right side and end stacks, along with clay crested ridge tiles. The building is included for its group value.
