Description

1 Shaw Fold is a small 17th century cottage, which may have once been part of a larger structure with Nos 3 and 5. The building has two storeys and features two windows. It has a fairly high-pitched stone flagged roof with gable coping and kneelers, along with a rebuilt ridge stack. The exterior is made of coursed squared stone. There is an original 4-light stone-mullioned window on the ground floor, and a 6-panel door. The upper floor has replaced sash windows with glazing bars. Inside, there is one stout lateral chamfered beam with plain stops on the ground floor.
