The alcove immediately east of number 236 on Barnsley Road is a small square stone building dating from 1845. It features a gabled roof and was possibly constructed to house a pump or serve as a public seat. The structure includes a Tudor arched opening, corner piers topped with pyramidal shapes, and blank shields in the frieze.
