Description

Nos. 7 and 9 Woodcroft are a 17th-century farmhouse, originally of two storeys and four windows, which has been extended. The original building was constructed of stone, but No. 9 has been re-fronted in brick and No. 7 in rendering. Modern casement windows are now in place. The roof has a fairly high pitch, with stone flags at the eaves and Welsh slate above, and features three rebuilt ridge stacks. No. 7 has a chamfered stone door surround with alternating block jambs, and a mid-19th century one-bay extension with modern windows. No. 9 has a large gabled porch and a similar extension with later windows. Inside, there are exposed chamfered beams with run-out stops, and a 17th-century ceiling border decorated with fruit and flowers. The rear elevations are of 18th-century red brick with small 19th-century windows.
