Description

The north alcove in the garden of Tudor House is a late 18th-century structure made of stock brick. It features a round-headed design and is part of a pair of identical alcoves intended for seating. Each alcove is topped with a pediment that encloses a 16th-century terra cotta bust set in a roundel, resembling those found at Hampton Court Palace, which were supplied to Cardinal Wolsey by Giovanni Di Maiano.
