Description

The Garden House at The Alcove is an 18th-century garden house located on the west side of Church Street in Yetminster. It features a brick wall that includes an elliptical recess beneath an elliptical stone arch, which is flanked by stone pilasters. The arch is moulded and has a projecting keystone. The wall is swept up to the center, topped with moulded coping and a stone finial. The entire structure is raised on two semi-circular stone steps. This garden house serves the garden of The Alcove, a mid-20th century house that is not of special interest.
