Description
The garden house at the east end of the south terrace of Brympton House is a structure likely dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from ham stone ashlar, with some brickwork in English garden wall bond, and features a clay pantiled roof. This single-storey open building has a brick back wall and is set on a two-step base. It is supported by two pairs of unfluted Corinthian columns that carry a plain lintel and a pediment gable, with matching stone pilasters on the rear wall. The garden house holds considerable importance as a feature at the end of the south terrace and contributes to the overall setting of Brympton House.
