Description
Templars is a 17th-century, two-storey stone house that was originally thatched but now has a later brick front and a new slate roof. The building features three windows on each floor, with metal casement windows, two of which have cambered heads on the ground floor. The central entrance door has four raised and fielded panels and a cambered head. There is a later 17th-century or early 18th-century one-and-a-half storey rubble addition to the west, which includes one window and one dormer. A large stepped stone stack with a brick shaft is located at the west gable end. Inside, the property has stop-chamfered beams and two large fireplaces back to back in the centre, one of which has an intact oven, while the other features a highly cambered lintel leading to an inglenook.
