Description
Brick Kiln Farm Buildings are a fine range of farm buildings dating from the early to mid-19th century. The buildings are constructed of brick with tiled roofs and form yards. The main barn features three bays and has diapered tiling on the north side, with an off-centre draw through. There is an extension at the west end that includes pigeon holes in the gable, which continues as an open byre supported by brick piers and a rubble wall at the back. At the south end, there is a granary with sheds underneath, topped with a hipped tiled roof. The south front of the granary has three porthole windows on the first floor, three lunettes below, and four entrances. The east range is a long two-storey building that is half-hipped to the north and has five windows facing east. Additionally, there are two ranges of open byres to the east, featuring brick and timber piers, which create two yards that lead to the two-storey sheds mentioned earlier.
