Description

No. 3 Upper Weald is a building dating from the early 18th century, originally consisting of two cottages. The exterior was refaced in brick during the mid-18th century, as indicated by a dated brick marked 'B' from 1764. The original thatched roof was replaced with tiles around 1913 by Lord Egmont. The building has two storeys and features four windows on each floor, with casements that have cambered heads and glazing bars. The doors have plain wood surrounds, and there is an Exchange Fire Insurance Mark present. Additionally, there are two brick chimneys.
