Description
The Estate Office in Nostell Priory Estate Yard is a house that was built in 1847 and converted around 1990. It is constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and features Welsh slate roofs, along with three white and red brick chimney stacks. The building is two stories tall.
The east front has four windows arranged in a pattern of 1:2:1. The slightly projecting center includes a central doorway with a panel door and overlight, as well as a porch supported by painted ashlar Doric columns. On either side of the doorway are single 9-pane sash windows, with two 6-pane sashes above them. There is also a central ashlar plaque displaying a coat-of-arms, topped by a broad pediment that contains a central oval window. Flanking this are single 9-pane sashes with single 6-pane sashes above. All the windows are adorned with ashlar wedge lintels and painted cills.
This building is part of the estate yard associated with Nostell Priory, which was laid out for Charles W Winn, who lived from 1795 to 1874.
