Description
The garden gate, located on the west side of the Rose Garden at the south side of the stables to Nostell Priory, dates from the late 18th century. It is made of wrought iron and features rectangular standards with scrolled open-work panels and scrolled cresting. The lower panels include dog-bars, while the gate itself has a central standard made of slender bars and four square panels. The lower panels contain dog-bars, and the upper panels showcase delicate Adam-style scrolled tracery, which is slightly damaged. The gate is topped with ramped cresting.
