Description
The war memorial, including the enclosing wall and railings, was constructed around 1921. It features a granite plinth and a statue of a soldier in a trench coat, set on an ashlar base. The surrounding walls are made of ashlar and topped with cast-iron railings. The memorial is situated on a triangular plot at the junction of two roads, prominently located in front of the former council offices in the center of the village. The enclosing walls have chamfered coping and are surmounted by cast-iron rod railings with flame finials and decorative panels with trefoil heads. The memorial bears the maker's name, "SVTCLIFFE BROS BRADFORD."
