Description

A mill dating from the early 19th century, located at Cape Mills, off Coal Hill Lane, south of Pudsey. The mill is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. It is three storeys tall and comprises eight bays. The fourth bay features a loading bay with a door having tie-stone jambs to each floor, topped by a cat-head above the second-floor doorway. The third bay has a doorway with a single-light window above each floor, mirroring the design. Other bays have two-light windows on each floor, characterised by deep lintels, projecting sills, and retain small-paned glazing with upper horizontal casements. Decorative gutter brackets are present, and coped gables feature ridge stacks. The rear elevation has similar window arrangement to the front. The left-hand return has two bays of two-light windows at each floor.
