Description

This is a cowshed located to the west of Old Poplar Farmhouse, dating from the early 18th century with some alterations made in the 20th century. The structure is built from coursed rubble and features quoins, topped with a stone slate roof. It is a single-storey building. The east gable front has a doorway, while the north front includes a boarded two-light window. Inside, the original roof is notable for its king post truss, which has thin queen posts, a ridge piece, and passing purlins. This building is included in the listing for its group value.
