Description
The boundary wall with railings, gate piers, and gates to the former Beeston Hill Board School was built in 1880 and altered in the 20th century, designed by R.L. Adams. The low brick wall features stone coping and runs approximately 75 meters along the hill slope. The cast-iron railings have thick standards with roll mouldings and knob finials, supported by scroll brackets on short abutment walls, with rods also featuring knob finials. The gate piers, located opposite the former boys' entrance, are made of ashlar and have a square section, a plinth, a shaft, a moulded cornice, and stepped pyramidal capstones. This structure is included for its group value.
