Boundary wall and gates at former board school (qv). 1903. By Holmes & Watson. For the Sheffield Education Committee. Rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings. Main section of wall has ramped triangular stone coping. To right, adjoining the caretaker's house, a single wrought-iron gate with a square pier. In the centre and to left, double gateways with square stone piers with moulded and inscribed ashlar caps. Central gateway has a cast-iron double gate. Approx 200m long. An ancillary building to the former board school. Included for group value.
