Former Offices At Sanderson Kaysers Darnall Works

The former offices at Sanderson Kayser's Darnall Works were built around 1872 for Sanderson Brothers. The building is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a hipped Welsh slate roof, which has a single coped ridge and rear wall stacks. The windows are mostly boarded up and have brick flat arches. The structure is two stories tall and has a four-window range in an L-plan layout.

On the south-west front, there is a blocked central doorway with a fanlight, flanked on the left by two small windows and a corniced Venetian window. To the right, there is a single window. The right return of the building has four windows on each floor, while the left return features two windows and, below to the left, a round-headed recess with a keystone and flanking pilasters that contains a corniced Venetian window. To the right of the left return, there is a blocked doorway. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of the only surviving large crucible steel works in Sheffield and was vacant at the time of the survey.
