Description

Holbeck Cemetery Lodge is a mid-19th century cemetery lodge that is currently vacant. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with ashlar details and has a temporary roof covering made of concrete tiles, which has replaced the original slate roof. The lodge is a single-storey building with three bays, designed in the Gothic Revival style. It features a cruciform plan with steep gables and carved barge-boards. The entrance includes a boarded door with ornate scrolled hinges and a chamfered pointed arch, with a single light window to the left, and three-light windows in the center and to the right. A large square chimney stack is located at the center of the ridge. The interior has not been inspected.
