Description
Holbeck Cemetery entrance gates, gate piers, and flanking walls date from the mid 19th century. The gate piers are made of ashlar and stand approximately 3 meters high, featuring an octagonal shape with a plinth, a moulded cornice, and stepped conical capstones. The gates are highly decorated in the Gothic Revival style, showcasing traceried panels above and below the lock rail, along with fleur-de-lis finials. The flanking walls are low, about 8 meters long, and are attached to the outer piers. They have moulded ashlar coping stones with a moulded crest, although the railings are missing.
