GV II

Gate piers, gates and flanking walls. Mid C19. Ashlar piers, cast-iron gates, coursed gritstone walls. Piers: inner and outer pair, approx 3m high, octagonal in section with plinth, moulded cornice, stepped conical capstones. Gates: highly decorated in Gothic Revival style with traceried panels above and below lock rail, fleur-de-lis finials. Flanking walls: low, approx 8m attached to outer piers; moulded ashlar coping stones with moulded crest, railings missing.
