BAGHILL GREEN WF3 MORLEY (north side) Manor Farm Barn

Barn. Probably early C18 retaining gables, rearwall and trusses of that date, front wall c1800. Earliest build has thin coursed rubble, rock-faced stone to front, Welsh blue-slate roof. 4 bays. Cart-entry with monolithic lintel set in 2nd bay, 3rd bay has window with monolithic lintel and sill. Gutter brackets. Right-hand return has 2 triangular-shaped breather holes and rectangular pitching-hole to apex.

Interior: king-post trusses with slightly curved principals, tie-beams with half-lap joints possibly reused from an earlier cruck-,framed building. No braces to ridge though king-posts have mortices for them. Rafters c1800.
