Toll gate. c1850. Cast and wrought iron. A pair of tall circular gate piers with conical tops, flanked by high fence panels, wrought iron, with diamond lattice pattern, and flanking outer circular piers. Built to serve the Turnpike Road from Dewsbury to Leeds, given assent in 1841 and constructed after 1850.
