Description
This is a late 18th-century house, altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and has a stone slate roof with two brick gable stacks and a single tall brick stack at the rear. The house has quoins and is two stories high. The front, overlooking the garden, has a central doorway with a part-glazed four-panel door, flanked by single three-light sash windows with plain ashlar mullions and surrounds. Above are two similar three-light windows. The rear has a cat-slide roof. Inside, there is a fine late 18th-century stone fireplace, featuring a large fluted keystone and a chamfered stone mantle shelf, which is partly obscured by a 20th-century tile fireplace. There is also a mid-19th-century marble fireplace.
