Description
Nos. 24 and 26 on Station Road are warehouses built in the Italian Gothic style around 1870. They are constructed from dressed stone and feature a pitched slate roof with a moulded eaves cornice supported by carved brackets. The buildings rise three storeys and include string courses between the floors. There are six bays, with two doorways that have panelled double doors. The door and ground floor window surrounds are square-headed, with the upper third of the surrounds made of moulded ashlar and adorned with richly foliated capitals that include designs of vines and acanthus. Below the windows, there are aprons. The first-floor windows are round-arched and feature gothic arched hood moulds with alternately coloured voussoirs. The paired windows on the second floor are square-headed and have a central engaged column.
