Description
35 and 37 Station Road are warehouses built around 1870. They feature a dressed stone facade with a ground floor made of deeply coursed rock-faced stone and stone quoins. The building has a pitched slate roof with a moulded eaves cornice supported by crude triangular brackets. It stands four storeys high and has a symmetrical four-bay facade.
On the ground floor, there are two large windows with flat arches, flanked by tall doorways that have round arches, fanlights, and double panelled doors with moulded surrounds. Above these, at an intermediate level, are two large round-arched windows with an impost band. All these openings are framed by very heavily rock-faced voussoirs and surrounds. The second and third floor windows are round-arched and segmental-headed, respectively, with the windows in the two central bays paired. The side elevations are plain.
