Description

Nos. 2 and 3 Moor Side Lane are a pair of late 18th-century houses forming part of a terrace. A date stone reading AD 1777 is visible on No. 3. The houses are constructed of hammer-dressed stone, with some parts rendered, and have pitched stone slate roofs. The south elevation features a symmetrical design. No. 2 has, on the ground floor, an entrance with stone surrounds and tie-stones, and a single four-light stone mullioned window set back within the facade. The first floor has one four-light stone mullioned window set back, and one two-light stone mullioned window. No. 3 has a ground-floor entrance with a stone surround, tie-stones, and a deep lintel incorporating the date stone. It also has a four-light stone mullioned window, where two of the mullions have been removed. The first floor of No. 3 features one four-light stone mullioned window set back, and one three-light stone mullioned window set back within the facade.
