Description
Nos. 73, 75, and 77 on Stockport Road are three houses built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and feature a graduated stone slate roof. The houses are double-depth, consisting of a total of five bays and two storeys.
No. 73 has a square-cut door surround on the right, a four-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion window, and a similar six-light window on the first floor, although two lights are blocked. Nos. 75 and 77 each have a 19th-century door with a fanlight and a dressed surround, which has been inserted next to the original blocked door. They also have four-light windows on the ground floor and two and six-light windows on the first floor, similar to those of No. 73. The houses feature plain eaves gutter brackets and cross-axial chimney stacks, with similar three-light windows located at the rear.
