Description
Higher Quick Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse located on Stockport Road in Saddleworth. It is constructed from watershot hammer-dressed stone and features a slate roof. The building has a single-depth plan with two storeys, a wing at the rear right, a later three-storey wing at the rear left, and a 20th-century lean-to extension on the left gable.
The central entrance door has a square-cut surround and is flanked by four-light windows on the ground floor and three-light windows on the first floor, all featuring recessed flat-faced stone mullions. There is a gable stack, and a blocked door is present on the right side, along with additional two, three, and four-light windows similar to those mentioned. The three-storey wing, which is partly obscured by the extension, is rendered and has four-light flat-faced stone mullion windows on each floor.
