Description

Slack Field Farmhouse is a mid to late 18th century farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It is constructed of hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a slate roof. The building has a single-depth plan with three storeys, two bays, and a rear wing. The corners of the structure are marked by quoins. The original central door has been removed and replaced with two 20th-century doors and a porch. Each of the bays has four-light windows on the first and third floors and two-light windows on the second floor, all of which have recessed chamfered mullions. The eaves are supported by shaped gutter brackets, and the gables are coped with gable chimney stacks. There are also two-light windows in the gables. A small lean-to extension is present on the left gable, and the rear wing, which is of slightly later date, features two and three-light windows.
