Description
Two houses, built around 1800, are located on the north-west side of Oldham Road in Delph. Constructed of watershot hammer-dressed stone with a roof of graduated stone slates, the houses are of double-depth, 2-bay plan and have four storeys, built into a hillside. The front features paired central doors, one of which is blocked, and a later 20th-century door with a window to the left. Bay 2 has a recessed flat-faced stone mullion window on the ground floor. Each bay on each floor otherwise features a 7-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion window. The building is characterised by gable stacks constructed of engineering brick. Small 2-light windows are visible in the gables, with the left gable window blocked.
