Description

The property comprises two farmhouses, now divided into two separate houses. It likely originated in the 18th century, though a lintel dated "RB1718" above the entrance suggests involvement of Robert Buckley in its construction, with later additions made subsequently. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed watershot stone with a roof of graduated stone slates. The original 2-unit plan is two storeys high, with a rear wing to the left and a 20th-century extension to the right. The front facade features 2-, 5-, and 4-light ground-floor windows, and 4- and 3-light first-floor windows, all with double-chamfered cavetto-moulded mullions. The 2-storey rear wing incorporates an outshut to one side and has 5- and 2-light recessed flat-faced mullion windows. A dated lintel above the gable entrance is now obscured by a 20th-century addition. The roof features ridge and gable chimney stacks.
