Description
Heights Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse located on Saddleworth Heights Lane. It is constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has a single-depth plan with three bays and three storeys, and it is accented by quoins. There is a door situated between the second and third bays, which includes an overlight and a dressed surround. Each bay on every floor is fitted with either a 4, 5, or 6-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion window, except for one notable 14-light workshop window on the top floor, which is also mirrored at the rear. The farmhouse has gable chimney stacks and two-light gable windows, along with lean-to extensions at the gable and rear. To the left of the farmhouse, there is a barn that has been largely rebuilt and is not considered of special interest.
