Description

The properties at 1 and 3 Share Hill Road are a pair of back-to-back houses dating from the early to mid-19th century. They are built of hammer-dressed stone, with some areas rendered, and have pitched stone slate roofs and coped gables featuring stone brackets.

The southwest elevation of No. 1 has a ground-floor entrance with a stone surround and a four-light stone mullioned window. The first floor contains a single six-light stone mullioned window. The northeast elevation of No. 3 is similarly designed, with a ground-floor entrance having a stone surround and a four-light stone mullioned window, and a six-light stone mullioned window on the first floor. The northwest gable displays a former seven-light stone mullioned window, with three lights now blocked. The southeast gable, which is rendered, has a single three-light stone mullioned window in the attic. Water tabling is visible on the elevation, indicating the presence of former adjoining buildings.
