Description
This is a barn located to the south-east of numbers 17 and 19 on Kirkgate in Batley. It was built in the mid-19th century and is constructed from dressed rubble with ashlar dressings, topped with a stone slate roof featuring ashlar coped gables. The barn has flush ashlar quoins. The street-facing side includes an off-centre segment-headed cart entry with a flush ashlar surround and a central keystone, along with a pair of plank doors. To the right of the cart entry, there is a single round-headed opening, and to the left, there are two round-headed openings, all featuring flush ashlar surrounds and plank doors. This barn is included for its group value with the nearby buildings.
