Description

This is a barn located 25 meters east of Lightcliffe Royd, dating from the mid-17th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The barn is single-aisled, with the lower end facing south. It has a coped gable with kneelers and rectangular ventilators, and quoins are present at the corners. The right-hand return wall includes a mistal doorway with a quoined lintel and a chamfered surround, as well as another similar doorway positioned slightly higher. There is a square-headed cart entry with an additional doorway to the right, also featuring a chamfered surround.

Inside, the barn has four bays of trusses supported by a single strut, with posts that have straight braces connecting to the arcade plate and tie beam, along with wall ties.
