Description
This is a barn located 15 meters southwest of Bank Royd Farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed from thin coursed hammer dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The barn has an L-shaped single aisle design, likely consisting of two bays. Notable architectural features include quoins and a coped gable with kneelers at the left end. There is a cart entry set back, which has a wooden lintel that has likely been altered, along with a later window positioned above it. The left-hand return wall includes a mistal doorway leading into the aisle.
